One of my favourite pastimes is to lurk the world wide web for as much inspirational imagery that I can find until I can lurk no more… Or I’ve exceeded my bandwith and finally realise that waiting three and a half minutes for a photo to load is waiting just too long…

I get in over my head most nights, being exposed to such an amplitude of internet talent, I become so excited that the overwhelming desire to share it with everybody else hits me. So I do what everyone does these days and blog about it. Amongst most of these image drops, you’ll usually find the work of phenomenal photographers, illustrators, graphic artists and usually an abundance of half naked girls. I think I’m becoming notorious for having a deep appreciation for the female form… But that’s fine with me!

Just look at the shit ok? You’ll love it… Or I’ll come to your next party and drink all your booze. Wait… No, that sounds right.

Sharna has finally got posting again… THE SHY PARTY

So… Sharna has settled in well… So well, that she has put out a diss on our most beloved pastime… the Footy… The feathers of RV were well ruffled when we read about ‘needing to be boozed to watch that shit’… If there is two things in this world we believe in it’s… ‘you get what you give’ and the mighty Broncos…

Sharna is one up for now…

Anyhow, enough banter… We hope you like our new mate and the thoughts and shots she has shared thus far… We like Sharna… But it wont stop us from tacklin’ her next time we see her…

When the boys from Runamuk Visuals asked me too come onboard, you could say I was pretty stoked. To be part of a ‘chosen family’ of some of Australia’s most unique and talented beings and to not really consider myself as any of the above… I figured ‘hey, they must really like me for my brain…’

So to introduce myself, heres the extreme short version of my life story…

After stints in makeup artistry, sound engineering, car audio and fine arts I decided to settle into the high paying (still waiting) career of graphic design, where I work for one of the giants of the global surf industry… Sometimes I get roped into gigs where I have to dress up like a pirate wench and model with shirtless surfers… rough gig I know, but thats how I ended up here. Like I said before… its the brain that they’re interested in.

I can put a pencil to paper pretty damn well, I like to booze – Sadly I find everything is way more interesting when drunk. Take football for example – (don’t think for one second that you’d ever get me to watch that shit sober). I like to shred dance floors and on Guitar Hero. I am forever on the internet. Researching, downloading, lurking, and mostly blogging. I tend to forget a lot of the time that theres a beautiful/fucked up world that exists outside my web browser.

Ok, so I’ve been specifically advised to stay away from making posts that contain handbags and stilettos. I can hear your disappointed sighs already but sorry guys, its not my style anyway.

Lets get shit rolling shall we?!

Last Friday night we hit up the Shark Bar in Miami. I’ve been a regular patron at that place for a while now and I’ve never had to line up. That was until PamPamPam! were gracing the stage…

For a newly established local Gold Coast act, there sure was a ton of support being thrown their way. We were there for our fellow co-worker and guitarist – Jamie. However, this support was well deserved because they are indeed a good band. Catchy, tight and polished, you can tell these guys stayed in the garage jamming for many extra hours to make sure they nailed it first time around. And that they did.

And then the usual drunken debauchery followed…

Gods greatest creation…

Sure… They can drive you crazy… They can drive you into oncoming traffic aswell…

But I dont ever want to imagine a world without girls…  There’s the crazy ones, the possessed ones, the stalkers, the neurotic, psychotic, robotic ones, but we’re not talking about that bunch… We are talking about the beautiful, funny, interesting, tall, short, happy, chunky, naughty, cute, clever, brunette, short haired, long haired, strange, creative, sporty, talented, amusing, rad and so on girls of the world…

Until now the only girls to grace the pages of our site was the odd photo in our ‘no need for words’ sector… But times change, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse… We got lucky…

We have always wondered what it would be like to have a girl onboard… Just to give our place a bit of balance… It doesnt mean we are gonna have handbags, shoes and Lilly Allen on the site, just the point of view of a switched on chick… We didnt know what sort of girl we were chasing really, but a creative, opinionated, amusing, talented, motivated and drop dead gorgeous girl would be good… Not too much too ask, really… is it?

We sifted, creeped and scamperd around for the right girl but fell short time after time… Cyndi Lauper would of been spot on… Too busy, too into themselves, too crazy, too lazy was all we got…

Then Sharna showed up, dressed as a pirate wench for a boardshort shoot with Wade… Most fashion shoots are a hassle for Wade, for no other reason than he just doesnt see himself as the model type… This shoot he was all smiles, who wouldn’t want a saucy, beer swillin pirate wench holding a knife to ya throat?

After that shoot Wade was like ‘that Sharna chick’s cool as’…

We’ve since found out Sharna likes photography, music, boozing, laughing, art, typography, blogging and against all odds us ratbags…  Sharna was perfect… We asked the the question and the answer was… ‘yes’…

‘NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE’… Is Sharna’s place at RV… Whatever Sharna’s thinking, drinking, shooting, drawing, painting, hating, loving, hearing you will get to see on the slow to load pages of runamukvisuals.com…

So cheers to Sharna for bringing some balance to this joint… We look forward to seeing what comes out of that brain of yours.
