Seeing Beauty

11/13/2016 - Posted by RV in ARCHIVES, VIDEO, WORDS

I hit a dark patch earlier this year. It was reconnecting with nature that lifted the dark clouds. This was the first handful of shots I took after 6 months without picking up a camera. I’m going to keep focusing on the little pieces of beauty I see and posting the vision up here, and if it makes one person feel good I’ll feel good, and that’s what life’s about. Anxiety is the realest force I’ve felt since falling in love. It’s indescribable to those that haven’t felt it. Reach out if you’re feeling wack, don’t let the clouds and the claws get you. Talk to your family, talk to your friends! All we need is love! If you’re going through hell, keep going!

caffiends part 2

There’s always been some grey area around what Runamuk Visuals is, and when I get asked I struggle to put it in words, but I’d like to think Runamuk Visuals just makes cool shit…

Surf film is where it all began, since then we have chipped away and found ourselves building a little brand. There’s our clothing range, we dabble in design, we have worked with brands and companies to help build creative concepts and bring them to life, there’s this blog, which is probably best known for the no need for words series, but all that aside, Media Production and Art are the heart and soul of what RV is all about and this short sums up what we do best.

The Bean Drop / Droplet coffee joint number 3 opens this coming Monday the 14th October. Word on the street is there will be free coffee all day, and I assure you these guys make a smooth brew.  It’s a sneaky little spot, hidden away at the top end of Duke Street (around the corner) at Sunshine Beach.

Big thanks to our resident apprentices Luka Raubenheimer and Nick Jones for shooting the process.

Shot on Red Scarlet and timelapsed on the Sony EX1.

Passion Pop

Passion Pop was the first film I made for Billabong… It all most killed me… It was the first chance I was given to make a film that was going to get seen by more than the boys up home… It’s old news now, but I often get asked what are the codes for the ‘vault’?… The secret sections are bits and pieces of what went down behind the scenes, there is some funny gear in there… heres all you need to unlock them.
